Yellowstone with Linda's fam

Linda's sisters and nephew visited us last week here in Bozeman. We had some terrific food and went to Yellowstone (where we stayed at Mammoth Hot Springs) to see the sights. I took some photos, and drew a bit as well (mostly indoors), but I think the photos came out better.

More MSU

More MSU sketches. I'd always planned to a bunch but just hadn't gotten around to it. Here are some recent ones:

Alma Mater

I realize I haven't done many sketches of the university here in town where I work/play, so I took a bike ride on over to campus. MSU (Montana State University to the uninitiated) has scores of '60s and '70s "brutalist" style buildings, which are a lot less fun to look at when you're not drawing them. I sat down on the grass for the first sketch here, and was rudely surprised about halfway through by the school's sprinklers soaking my back. I relocated and continued, but I was more cautious about choosing my spot for the second sketch...

Recent odds and ends

I have been doing some sketching, even if I haven't posted too much recently. Here's a few from the past week or two:

dean and shannon's barn

parking at quilting in the country

fresco cafe

local band at the filling station

burger king again

Where have I been?

I haven't posted in a while-- I've been busy preparing an Etsy shop and organizing a print business here in Bozeman. But now everything is set up, or at least underway, so I'll announce it:

You can purchase prints of my work now! Yay! They are for sale on Etsy here. As of now, the only shipping option is within the United States, but I hope that will change. I still need to investigate international shipping rates, so if you live outside the US please contact me and we can make arrangements.

I'm also selling prints at Tart in the Emerson Center here in Bozeman. So any Bozemanites who read the blog should come out and take a look.
