story mansion

story mansion, originally uploaded by paul heaston.

I did this sketch last year in Bozeman with the idea that it might someday be used in some form for the benefit of the Friends of the Story Mansion, and now that it has been, I feel free to share it. This took two afternoons of hard work sitting underneath a shady tree and listening to my iPod. I'm actually quite happy with the sketch.

Easily the most exciting drawing I've ever done. So much raw energy in this drawing... I hope you weren't overwhelmed by the power of the sketch.

block plane

As the post title suggests, this is a block plane, used to smooth and flatten irregular wood surfaces. I have one. I drew it. There you have it.

Fun with Isometric Graph Paper

I recently got a pad of isometric graph paper, which I have put to good use by making some absolutely superfluous and completely meaningless drawings. Enjoy.
